Suppose
that the atmosphere gets warmer. What consequences will that have
on the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere? (think
about plant growth and temperature)
One
answer:
Warming
of the atmosphere could increase the zone of plant growth (by expanding
areas where plants can grow readily farther toward the poles) as well as
the rate of plant growth. This increased plant growth might use more
CO2 from the atmosphere (through photosynthesis) and have the effect of
limiting further increases in CO2 and/or temperature.
