Wind direction and velocity puzzle Answers

Consider the map with isobars below for a location in Earth's northern hemisphere (L indicates a low-pressure center, H a high pressure center).

Ignoring the effects of friction with the Earth,

Winds blow counterclockwise around the low (bent to the right):
1)  from what direction is the wind at A blowing?  Northeast
2)  from what direction is the wind at B blowing?  South
3)  from what direction is the wind at C blowing?  West

Winds blow clockwise around the high roughly parallel to isobars (ignoring friction)
4)  from what direction is the wind at D blowing?   Northeast

Winds are strongest where the pressure gradient is largest (isobars are closest together)
5)  in which location is the wind strongest?  A
