Think about separating a beaker of glass and wooden marbles that are all the same size and shape.
How could you do it?  What property does that separation depend on?

Answer:  glass and wooden marbles can be separated on the basis of their different densities.

What is the process by which glass and wooden marbles could be separated in the puzzle
above?

Answer:  Their are many processes for separating them on the basis of density.  For example, wind would move the less dense wood more easily and a wind tunnel could be used to blow away the wooden ones leaving the glass ones.  The most obvious method would be to use a liquid (like water) which is less dense than the glass but more dense than the wood.  The wooden marbles will float, the glass marbles will sink, separating the two.
